Planning Planning Planning

I started my whole wedding planning with various of site and pretty much registered myself with all the popular sites in cluding mywedding.com, the knot, ...etc.  But eventually I'm sticking with MarthaStewart at the end. The website is not completely bug free and you could always find more features that you potentially want. However, it's already suitable for people like me who's obssessed with computer based planning.  The best part that I like about it is the "check list". They are very comprehensive and you can always customize it.  Now I only have 95 more things to go with 8 tasks overdue!

Makeup artist booked!!!

This is not the first vendor that I booked but I'll start putting my vendor information on.
Some of the research story is actually pretty fun and tedious at the same time.
Especially we're not living in Los Angeles area, everything has to be planned remotely.

Anyways, I finally made up my mind to book the makeup artist - Grace Lin.
It's such a great pressure to find a good Asian makeup artist in the States, I went to Grace for a trial and slowly over the last month got half of my bridesmaids , my mom and my sister's approval. I made the decision.

You just have to know that the later the wedding planning process that you get into, the more decisive that you'd become.

We spent 6 months deciding where we want to host our reception (right now is still a secret!!)
Another 6 months for our photographer.
I can forsee how I'll be wrapping things up quicker and quicker....

Color Themes?

I have to admit that it's completely new to me that a wedding needs a "color theme". Obviously white is not good enough for this day.  However, it seems that things are risking not being cohesive if the color theme is not decided early enough.  I probably will really go with WHITE.  As far as I know, the reception place is filled with orange-yellow color.  That makes thing slightly harder.. What goes with Orange??? Well.. more specifically - 0xff9900.

First thought is purple and then white.  I guess Tiffany blue is out of the picture (It's a little be tacky nowadays.)  However, it's summer, some red/pink/yellow would be nice too!
More research to be done...

Official Wedding Blog

There's a reason that things ended up at the blogspot. Despite all the handy blog sites provided by mywedding.com, projectwedding.com and many others, it's something we'd like to keep as a memory and I guess Google has won the bidding.  We'll start from here.
